Welcome to the 2022 Season!

Junior Sailing

We are excited to announce that summer registration is live for the 2022 season!

As in years past, we will be offering both Junior Optimist and Junior 420 programs. Our junior programs are geared towards students ages 6 to 17 years old. The summer season will run from June 27 through August 26. Each program is one week long. Students who attend more than one week will be taught new techniques and skills that build off of their previous weeks. We recommend students 6 – 10 participate in our Junior Optimist programs and students 11 – 17 participate in our Junior 420 programs. Descriptions of our programs can be found on our website. Similar to last season, all registrations will be done through Regatta Central.

The final week of the summer season we will be holding our NEW Advanced Race Clinic Week held from August 22 – August 26 as a full day program (9:00 – 4:00). By popular demand we have developed this summer program that is intended to be a crash course in racing and advanced sailing. Students will build off of their existing skills that they have learned throughout summer and establish new advanced methods and techniques.
See below for registration.

Adult Sailing

Adult sailing lessons are now available for the 2022 season! They start up on May 14th.

Spring Programs Still Running!!

Similar to last year, we will be offering spring programs for all levels of sailors.

The 2022 season will kick off in early March with our 420 Advanced Racing Team. This is our premier program with the highest level of coaching and attention to making elite skilled sailors. We race and practice against other top tier sailors from the surrounding area such as The Stony Brook School and Stony Brook University. To be part of this team, a student must have participated in at least one week of our summer programs.

Starting in early April, our “Intro to Racing” groups will begin for both 420 and Optimist dinghies. Intro groups will review the basic fundamentals of sailing then dive into racing technique. There are no prerequisites for the “Intro to Racing” groups. These are one week (four day) racing crash course programs. These weeks are a great opportunity for a student to get a glimpse into the world of racing.

Next, we are excited to again offer our entry level “Basics Weeks” throughout the spring season. These are perfect for anyone interested in trying sailing out for the first time in a supportive, engaging and fun atmosphere. We really want you to love sailing!

We will be using the same registration platform, Regatta Central, for the 2022 season. See BELOW for registration links.
